Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance led by it Presidential Candidate Raila Odinga, on April 10, 2022 convened a crisis meeting at COTU secretary general, Farancis Atwoli's home in Kajiado County.
The agenda of the meeting as reported by the Media was to iron out some Alliance's critical issues as the country heads to the August 9 general Elections.
Among the issues discussed included the issue of running mate which has threatened to break the alliance ahead the Elections.
In the past few days, leaders from Mount Kenya vote rich Region have insisted that the position of running mate much come from the Region.
On the other hand, the other Coalition Party Partners including Wiper Democratic Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka has also insisted that the position of running is a reserve for his party.
The other issue discussed during the meeting according to the media sources is the issue of nomination and how the Coalition party members should field candidates in various positions in difference parts of the Country.
This is another issue that is seen as a threat the Alliance unity ahead of the general election.
Among the leaders present during the meeting included ODM Party Leader Raila Odinga who's also Azimio La Umoja Presidential Candidate, Peter Kenneth, Francis Atwoli, Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya, Fred Gumo, Siaya Senator James Orengo, David Murathe, former Jubilee Party Secretary general Raphael Tuju among other leaders.
Conspicuously absent during the meeting was the Wiper party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka.
