Moses Kuria has declared his bid for the Kiambu Governor’s seat.
Moses Kuria is the current Member of Parliament for Gatundu south having served for two consecutive terms.
The law maker made the announcement on his social media platform on Saturday 26th, 2022.
Kuria is set to vie for the seat under his Chama Cha Kazi
Party ticket.
He will be battling it out with the incumbent Governor James
Nyoro, Senator Kimani Wamatangi, County Speaker Stephen Ndichu, Thika Mp Jungle
Wainaina and former Governor Ferdinand Waititu (Baba Yao) and William Kabogo.
The legislature had just returned from Dubai based Hospital
where he had been admitted for more than 3 months after he sustained third -degree
burns from malfunctioning heating
mat.
Late last year and recently, Moses Kuria had indicated that
he would not be vying for any political position in the forthcoming election
but instead he would focus on building his Chama Cha Kazi Party,
"My current single-minded
focus is to help Chama Cha Kazi win as many Governor, Senator, Women Rep,
National Assembly and MCA seats as possible,” Kuria said in an interview with
the Standard on February 18, 2022.
